The WellSky Foundation gifted $10,000 to Uplift Organization, Inc. — a Kansas-City-based nonprofit delivering care and compassion to people experiencing homelessness.
Uplift will use the donation to provide the people they serve with necessities, including meals, clothing, toiletries, bug spray, handwarmers, undergarments, sleeping bags, and more.
Uplift was founded in 1990 as a volunteer-run outreach program addressing homelessness. Today, the organization continues its commitment to serving its local community through volunteer efforts and donations from its neighbors.
