Chairperson of the Board

Andrea Morgan is the strong, compassionate leader at the helm of the WellSky Foundation. As chairperson of the board, Andrea guides the foundation’s long-term initiatives to realize its mission of building happy, healthy communities. Andrea has an impressive track record of successfully building deep, lasting relationships with teams and clients to help achieve their respective goals and aspirations. She has held leadership roles in global human resources, client development, and business analysis. Andrea has a strong business acumen and keen ability to foster substantive relationships with benefactors and beneficiaries. Previously, Andrea served as vice president of southeast client development for Cerner Corporation.

Brett Fuller

Executive Director

Brett Fuller is the passionate executive director at the WellSky Foundation. In this role, he leads the foundation’s efforts to partner with innovative community organizations and achieve the foundation’s mission of ensuring lasting wellness for vulnerable populations. Brett’s track record clearly demonstrates his strong focus on community. He has taken key leadership roles with philanthropic organizations, including serving on the board of directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kansas City, and gained valuable experience supporting a foundation during his ten years with the Sprint Brand Group. There he worked side by side with the Sprint Foundation to make an impact through sponsorship assets and community activation. Brett is also very active with several charitable organizations across Kansas City, including Down Syndrome Innovations, YMCA Challenger League of Kansas City, and Kansas Special Olympics. 

Rob Weber

Secretary & Board Member

As secretary of the WellSky Foundation, Rob Weber oversees administrative and legal documentation and communication with both internal and community stakeholders. Rob’s contributions of his time and talent ensure the WellSky Foundation can effectively and efficiently elevate care across communities. Rob also serves as WellSky’s general counsel and president of WellSky’s community care division, where he is responsible for applications serving behavioral health, homelessness management, long-term services and supports, medication management, and blood management. Rob has an extensive background in various community care fields, and he previously managed many of WellSky’s clinical applications, including blood services and medication management. Rob is deeply committed to volunteerism at several community and educational organizations. For over 10 years, Rob has volunteered with DuPage Pads, an organization working to end homelessness and provide a range of supportive services, including education, for people in need. He shares his legal expertise with the next generation as a volunteer constitutional law teacher at a local high school. Rob is also a volunteer commissioner on the board of the Glen Ellyn Park District, where he contributes to policy decisions enhancing 29 public parks in Illinois.

Bill Miller

With 20+ years of experience in health care leadership and innovation, Bill Miller contributes his extensive industry knowledge and track record of success to the WellSky Foundation’s board. Bill has a visionary perspective on the future of health care, and he envisions a world where health and social care come together to deliver whole-person care to everyone in need. As a board member, Bill shares data-driven strategies for growth and innovation to ensure the foundation continues to grow and support even more people who are facing socioeconomic challenges to their long-term wellness. Bill also serves as WellSky’s chief executive officer. Prior to joining WellSky in July 2017, Bill was CEO of OptumInsight, a division of Optum, which is the health services platform of UnitedHealth Group. Prior to OptumInsight, Bill served as senior vice president of technologies at Cerner Corporation, where he had global responsibility for the company’s managed services, outsourcing, and technology services business units.

Steve Morgan

Board Member

Steve Morgan is an experienced health care IT leader with two decades of experience in the industry, a passion for company culture, and ongoing emphasis on client experience. As a WellSky Foundation board member, Steve is instrumental in shaping the future trajectory of the foundation, ensuring the organization can continue to support community organizations’ great work for years to come. Steve also serves as WellSky’s chief operating officer. At WellSky, he leads diverse teams focused on optimizing client workflows, efficiencies, and outcomes. Prior to joining WellSky in June 2018, Steve served as COO for OptumInsight, a division of Optum, which is the health services platform of UnitedHealth Group. Steve was broadly responsible for the company’s annual operating plan with a focus on employee engagement, client management, growth, and innovation. For over 15 years, Steve has made contributions to organizations making an impact across local and national communities. He is also committed to sharing his expertise, career advice, and industry knowledge by mentoring fellow professionals and rising leaders.

Shoma Sarkar Thomas

Board Member

Shoma Sarkar Thomas is an established health care technology leader and innovator with an ongoing dedication to giving back in her community. As a board member of the WellSky Foundation, Shoma guides the WellSky Foundation’s mission of elevating care for people facing the top socioeconomic factors affecting health and wellness. Shoma also serves as WellSky’s chief marketing officer. Beyond WellSky and the WellSky Foundation, Shoma also leads in several capacities for national and international organizations. She is an advisor for the Miracle Foundation, an international nonprofit based in Austin, Texas that brings care to orphaned children across the globe. Shoma mentors the next generation of women leaders in technology through Ceresa, a mentorship program that addresses the global women’s leadership gap. Shoma is also an active member of TPG Capital’s CMO council, where she shares her marketing and communications expertise with fellow CMOs across a wide range of industries.

With more than 15 years of experience in the health care technology space, Lissy is an established changemaker who is committed to strengthening the communities she serves. As a board member, Lissy leverages her innovative mindset and background as a medical doctor to guide the foundation’s mission of elevating care for vulnerable populations. Lissy is the CEO and founder of CarePort, a WellSky company, where she works with leading health systems, payers, and accountable care organizations to optimize post-acute care outcomes. In addition to serving on the WellSky Foundation board, Lissy gives back through mentorship. She remains accessible to the next generation of entrepreneurs, offering advice and inspiration as they look to create and lead businesses of their own while solving complex problems.

Joe BeaudetJoe Beaudet

As a board member, Joe is focused on ensuring the WellSky Foundation is enabling whole-person care to power lasting wellness and recovery for vulnerable populations. Joe’s support of the WellSky Foundation stretches back to its conception. In 2019, he was part of the team tasked with laying the foundation’s critical groundwork, making it possible for WellSky to aid organizations combatting socioeconomic factors affecting health and wellness. In addition to his work as a board member, Joe is Vice President, Revenue Accounting at WellSky. Prior to joining WellSky in 2016, he spent 10 years at Cerner Corporation in various finance and accounting roles. An active member of his local community, Joe serves as Treasurer of Southeast Enterprises, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing employment opportunities and support services for adults with developmental, physical, and emotional disabilities in Jackson County.

Mike Mayer

Mike joins the WellSky Foundation’s board as the Executive Managing Director at Cushman & Wakefield. Mike's commitment and professional expertise expands the Foundation's network and brings prestige to its mission. Mike is a devoted volunteer who is passionate about breaking down social and economic barriers to people's well-being. In addition to serving on the WellSky Foundation’s board, he is an active board member of the University Health Charitable Foundation, which provides medical care to anyone who needs it, regardless of income or insurance status. In the past, Mike has also been a member of other boards, including The Kansas City Area Development Council, the Shuttle Cork, University Health Hospital, and the Dream Factory of Greater Kansas City.
